What does fear mean to you?
Fear is that moment when you've lost every ounce of control. I think of it as the feeling of gravity taking hold of you as you fall, or of watching flames reach a full gas tank. It can also be that moment when you realize that you never had control to begin with. The sudden, foreboding rain storm while you're changing a burst tire, or the cat who screams like a banshee and pounces on your stomach at night. It leaves a wide window open for the unexpected to blow by and chill you. It makes you feel small and vulnerable. I like to try to help the visitors of Salem's Haunted Barn and Hayride reach that moment of total abandon by making them face big problems, like death and possession, and realize that they have no hope of overcoming them on their own. That way, they can move on with their lives, assured that something is always out to get them, lurking around every dark corner. That's me, always here to help.
If you could create your ideal scare, what would it be?
An army of fast, hungry zombies! All coming up out of the ground and ready to rip flesh from bones! Get to the high ground, everyone, and bring plenty of ammo and Twinkies.
